Latest and Greatest

Huddy and Bean had their 2-year-old check-up this morning. (Yes, I know, I know... we're a little late...) Anywhoo the doc projects Mercer to be 5'10" (future volleyball player and/or golf star) and Huddy to be six feet tall. He won't be little forever, people!

Mercer is absolutely talking up a storm. It is as though synapses in her brain have suddenly grown together and her command of speech has skyrocketed. She speaks in full sentences (4, 5, 6 words), she clearly communicates everything she wants and needs, and her pronunciation is becoming very, very good. It is so fun to come home and listen to her tell me about the day.

Huddy is smart, smart, smart. He can concentrate on a book or a movie for a loooong period of time, and it only takes him one time to "get" anything. He is very much his own man. At Joey's Gym when everyone sits in a circle and sings, he stands in the center of the circle. He literally has another gear he goes into around people, suddenly turning on some invisible charm machine. People literally fall in love with him instantly. Huddy has also started becoming much less touchy. I think it's because he finally --FINALLY -- has most of his teeth in... so he's less uncomfortable and therefore less moody. He's suddenly less clingy and even lets Mama hold and kiss him -- not just Mommy! He is literally the most adorable male child on the planet -- that has been confirmed by NASA.
