Mother's Day & The Friendly Skies

I'm sure this isn't your typical Mother's Day celebration, but then again, we aren't your typical moms. This is how we spent our Mother's Day afternoon: We drove out to LAX and sat in the parking lot of an In&Out Burger that is right under the landing path of one of the runways, eating french fries and watching planes land. Hudson LOVES airplanes so this was enormous fun. The first time a plane flew over both of their eyes were just huge with wonder (ours were too, as the planes are right over your head) and Mercer immediately started saying, "More! More!". I have never seen them with such excitement for such an extended amount of time. We were there for more than an hour and I think they could have spent the night there and been perfectly happy. We had the most perfect Mom's day imaginable.*

(*This "perfect" Mom's Day reference purposefully ignores the four hours earlier in the day where Huddy was throwing one fit after another.)
