FiFi and Max
Mercer and Hudson have a favorite new game: They like to pretend they are dogs. Mercer (AKA "FiFi") will run to the cupboard to get her leash as soon as I get home at night, shouting, "FiFi! FiFi!" I am required to hook the leash on her shirt and walk her around the house. She will sit, lie down, and roll over on command. Last weekend we went for a "walk" around the neighborhood. FiFi could not have been happier, though we did get some strange looks from neighbors. One gentleman wanted to know where I got such a leash. "The pet store", I replied. (I don't think he realized it was an actual dog leash.) Hudson (aka "Max") also likes the game, but prefers to be the dog walker, and not the dog as much. This, of course, makes Mercer upset, so generally we can play FiFi and Max for about seven minutes before both of them are crying for one reason or another. Never a dull moment...
